This is a great museum to take your buddies to, and it's free! I usually take friends here as part of a morning excursion. The name "Yebisu" comes follows the classical character used for in the Ebisu kanji, "ye". This, however, is not pronounced "yeh", but simply "eh" like the "e" character.
Although much of the exhibit is not in English it's a great exhibit detailing the history of beer in Japan. The highlight of the museum is the cafe at the end. Here you can purchase a sampler of beers to taste including a lager and a stout. These are quite tasty. Afterwards pick up a souvenir at the gift shop such as a couple of beer mugs or glasses for the folks at home.
There's not much more to discuss. From here, it's easy to stop by the other areas on the western edge of the Yamanote loop such as Shibuya, Yoyogi, Harajuku, and Shinjuku (not necessarily in that order). And this is the first stop on another day of the Tokyo Death March.
Take the JR Yamanote line (東日本鉄道山の手線) or the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line (東京メトロ日比谷線) to Ebisu station (恵比寿駅). Once you descend from the train platform you'll see signs for the Sapporo Beer Station. These will be towards the southern exit (南口). You'll know you're on the right track if you walk along a skyway with moving walkways. Once you finish with the moving walkways, cross the street, and head down the steps of the plaza. The beer museum should be down a corridor to your left.
